Are game remakes a must or unnecessary?
In this new English spoken quest the knights Peter (Retrogamepapa) and guest knight Matt (Bigkingbadger) talk about game remakes. How do they think in general about the whole thing? When was the first remake, and what differences are there? The knights also discuss their favorite and most disliked remakes as well as of which games they would like to see a remake.
Retrogamepapa’s Addendum: So we have recorded two episodes/quests now about remakes and remasters. This game remakes thing is a fickle topic amongst older games. If you have played the original game, there’s nearly always something missing when you played the remake. Sometimes you may wonder: Why did they even make this? Or, why haven’t they remade this properly? In this episode we keep it pretty superficial and mainly talk about our personal take on it. We do dive into the history kind of as well, but this is something that could be explored more in future episodes.
